Davis County’s growth over the past two decades has brought a lot of new construction — large homes in Syracuse, Clinton, West Point, and Layton where central vacuum systems make obvious sense. Bigger square footage, multiple levels, finished basements. These homes were often built without central vacuum and are prime candidates for retrofit.
The older neighborhoods closer to the lake — Bountiful, Centerville, Farmington — have a different character. Smaller lots, older construction, plaster walls in some cases. We do plenty of retrofits there too. Every installation is planned specifically for your home’s layout, not templated from somewhere else.

Yes. If the issue is with the hose, wand, or a component you can remove — bring it in. Drop-off repairs are often faster than scheduling a home visit, and there’s no service call fee. Call ahead so we know what’s coming and can make sure we have the right parts on hand.
Check the reset button on the power unit — it’s usually a small red or black button on the canister. A tripped overload is the most common reason a system goes completely dead. If the reset doesn’t fix it, check the circuit breaker. If both are fine and it still won’t run, it’s likely the motor or a wiring issue. Call us and we’ll help diagnose it over the phone.
