Shag Scallop Tool

Description

The shag scallop tool is a specialty central vacuum attachment designed specifically for cleaning shag carpets, thick rugs, and long-pile flooring. The scalloped edge design prevents the attachment from digging too deeply into long carpet fibers — which would cause drag and make the tool hard to push — while still providing effective suction across the surface.

Compatibility: Fits standard 1-3/8″ central vacuum wand connections.

Why Standard Floor Brushes Struggle on Shag:
Standard floor brushes with bristles or wide suction slots get caught in the long fibers of shag carpet, making them difficult to push and potentially tangling fibers around the brush. The shag scallop tool’s open scalloped profile glides across the top of long-pile carpet without snagging, vacuuming from the surface down rather than trying to penetrate the pile.
