Annual Belt Replacement: Why It Matters

Central vacuum power brush belts stretch gradually over the course of a year’s use, even if they don’t snap. A stretched belt allows the brush roll to slip and spin more slowly, reducing the agitation that pulls dirt out of carpet fibers. Replacing the belt annually — even if the old one looks intact — keeps your power brush performing at its rated cleaning depth.
