Description

Replacement motor brushes for Lamb Ametek central vacuum motors. Motor brushes are the carbon contact blocks that carry electrical current to the rotating armature of the motor. They wear down gradually over years of operation — and when they wear too short, the motor loses power, runs rough, or stops entirely. Replacing motor brushes is a cost-effective repair that can extend the life of an otherwise healthy motor significantly.

When to Replace: Motor brushes should typically be replaced every 500–1,000 hours of operation. Signs of worn brushes: reduced suction, motor sparking, intermittent operation, or a grinding sensation when the motor is running. Many central vacuum motors have inspection windows to check brush length without disassembly.
