Description
The 45-degree elbow creates a gentle directional change in central vacuum piping, producing a shallower angle than a standard 90-degree elbow. Where space allows, 45° elbows are preferred over 90° turns because the gentler angle reduces airflow resistance — which means better suction at your inlet valves, especially on longer piping runs.
Fits: Standard 2″ central vacuum PVC piping systems.
Best Practice: When routing piping around corners where you have a choice, two 45° elbows (one on each side of the corner) create less suction loss than a single 90° elbow. Mountain Central Vac uses 45° fittings wherever possible during professional installations.
