Mounting Plate

Description

The mounting plate is the wall bracket used to secure the central vacuum outlet box (inlet valve box) to wall framing during installation. It anchors the outlet box to a stud or blocking, ensuring the inlet valve sits flush and stable in the finished wall — preventing the valve from shifting, loosening, or pulling inward when a hose is plugged in or removed.

Compatibility: Fits standard central vacuum outlet boxes for 2″ piping systems.

Installation Notes:
The mounting plate typically attaches to a wall stud or blocking with screws, then the outlet box attaches to the plate. In remodel installations where stud access is limited, the plate can be secured with drywall anchors — though a stud connection provides significantly more stability, especially for frequently used inlet valve locations.
