Valve Extension

Description

The valve extension is used to extend the depth of a central vacuum outlet box to accommodate thicker walls. Standard outlet boxes are sized for typical 3.5″ wall framing (2×4 construction). In homes with 2×6 exterior walls, thick interior walls, or walls with extra insulation or multiple layers of drywall, a valve extension provides the additional depth needed for the inlet valve to sit flush with the finished wall surface.

Compatibility: Fits standard central vacuum outlet boxes for 2″ piping systems.

When You Need One:
If the inlet valve face sits recessed inside the wall rather than flush with the surface, a valve extension is the solution. Common in newer construction with 2×6 exterior walls, log homes, or remodels where walls have been built out for soundproofing or insulation.
