Mountain Central Vac provides central vacuum installation and repair throughout Provo, Orem, and Utah County. We’ve been serving Utah homes since 1990, and Utah County has grown into one of our busiest service areas — new construction in Saratoga Springs, Vineyard, and Eagle Mountain keeps us regularly busy down the hill.
Utah County’s housing ranges from older University Avenue-area homes in Provo to massive new subdivisions in Lehi, Saratoga Springs, and Eagle Mountain. New construction is actually the easiest time to install a central vacuum — tubing goes in during framing, before the drywall. If you’re building or buying new, it’s worth adding during construction for a fraction of what retrofit costs later.
Retrofit installations in existing Provo and Orem homes are just as common for us. We plan the system around your floor plan — figuring out the fewest number of inlets needed to cover every room, the cleanest tubing route, and the best location for the power unit. Most single-story homes take a day. Two-story homes sometimes need two days depending on the layout.
Central vacuums are a practical upgrade for Utah County families. The systems are three to five times more powerful than portable vacuums, and because all debris exhausts outside, there’s nothing recirculating back into the air your family breathes.

We repair all brands in the Provo and Utah County area — Beam, NuTone, Vacumaid, Eureka, ACV, CycloVac, and others. Motor replacements, clog removals, inlet valve repairs, and hose handle switch replacements are the most common jobs. We stock parts for all major brands and typically complete repairs on the first visit.
Utah County has a lot of newer homes with central vacuums that came with the house — sometimes a brand the owner has never heard of. If that’s your situation, bring us the model number and we’ll figure out what you have and what it needs.

We serve Provo, Orem, Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Spanish Fork, Springville, Mapleton, Payson, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, Vineyard, and surrounding Utah County communities.
During framing — before the drywall goes up. That’s the window where tubing installation is fast, clean, and inexpensive. Once the walls are closed, it becomes a retrofit job. Contact us as soon as you have a floor plan and we can plan the system and schedule the rough-in.
It depends on square footage. For homes under 1,200 square feet, the cost-benefit is thinner. For anything 1,400 square feet and up, it almost always makes sense — especially if you have carpet, pets, or anyone in the household with allergies. We’ll give you a straight answer after seeing the space.
Simple repairs — inlet valve replacement, hose handle switch, minor clogs — usually run $75–$150 including the service call. Motor replacements are more, typically $200–$350 depending on the brand and motor. We quote before we start any work.
